The main aim of the construction project is to expand the area with permanent office workspaces for our employees at the Road User and Vehicle Section in Sør-Trøndelag. In addition there is a need for office places for employees connected to the Road-User and Vehicle Department at the regional office/Region mid (staff employees inspection people with an area in the county). In addition there is a need for some guest work places.

The programme work has clarified that these needs shall be solved with an extension to the existing building. In addition parts of the existing building shall be altered:

— new personnel cloakrooms and wc,

— alterations to technical installations,

— upgrades for universal design (UU).

The site shall function closely together as a whole. After the alterations the office workspaces and rooms for support functions will be divided over three levels. This will affect the logistics in the building. The assignment includes solving a new vertical connection.

The alteration part of the assignment is limited to prioritised changes for upgrading the standard and usability of the general office building. The inspection halls for vehicles are units that will only be affected to a small degree by the organisation changes and extension.

Outside new garages shall be constructed for official vehicles, tools and bicycle parking in connection with the manoeuvre area.
