The project includes planning for the new construction of the B 87 bypass (OU) Naumburg -Wethau. The measure is a combination of the measures included in the Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan OU Naumburg (subproject B87-G20-ST-T1) and OU Wethau (B87 / B180-G10-ST). The length of the planning route is approximately 11.6 km.
OU Naumburg:
The traffic situation on the existing B 87 is characterized by a high proportion of through traffic in the local transit (OD) Naumburg. Due to the common route of the B 87 with the B 180 in the OD, there are traffic loads of 16,244 vehicles / 24h and 900 SV vehicles / 24h in the narrowly built OD with sometimes only 6.00 m wide lanes. This results in increased pollution and congestion. With the aim of relieving the town center, the construction of the bypass (OU) is necessary.
OU Wethau:
The B 87 and B 180 overlap in the OD Wethau. The OD is burdened daily by 14,600 vehicles with an SV share of 7.0%, which consists almost of 100% through traffic. The route has the following deficits: traffic congestion, steep gradients, numerous bends, only one-sided ancillary systems available, poor living environment, high pollution of the residents by noise, exhaust gases and vibrations, high traffic risk for motorized and non-motorized traffic, junction B 87 / B 180 and B 180 / L 200 unregulated with inadequate expansion standards and visibility, the various demands on the street space (connection, access, stay function) cannot be met, the area touches a space intended for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The task of the contractor is to combine the planning of the two sections.
