Monaghan County Council is the lead applicant for a Rural Regeneration Development Fund Category 2 Project. Monaghan County Council as the lead authority intend to progress a design-based infrastructural upgrades to address the dereliction and to act as a catalyst in addressing the expansion constraints at the Lough Egish Food Park in County Monaghan. Lough Egish in Co. Monaghan is home to an industrial development which includes an existing ‘Food Park’. The Food Park presently has over 600 persons employed on the site and key players include AGRO Merchants, Lakeland Dairies, Rangeland Foods, Swift Fine Foods, Mc Gees, Bio Marine, Avonmore and Nest Box.
