1.1 Establishment of a business intelligence solution for Hesse tourism and the tourism industry in Hesse (“BI solution”)

- Objective: nationwide knowledge database for tourism-relevant data sources

- The following tourism-relevant data sources must be extracted, transformed and integrated into the BI solution in a uniform data format (e.g. xls/csv): Overnight statistics for Germany/Hesse/Hesse destinations; travel intentions/travel behavior in Germany/Hesse; guest reviews ( accommodation establishments); information on brand strength; website analyses; tourism economic factor for day/overnight trips; meeting and event barometer; sine wave packages; GPS tracking data.

- Option to integrate further data sources in the future

1.2 Hessen Agency assumes the central role in the area of business analytics in Hesse and has full insight into all data and thus the basis for decision-making and investment

- The nationwide participation of the tourism industry is guaranteed without data loss at local or regional level. The Hessen Agency always has a comprehensive and ideally complete overview of the performance of the tourist business in Hesse.
