Description:
Landesmedienzentrum Baden-Württemberg - Europe-wide allocation of modular class sets for the "Innovation Program Robotics in Primary Schools"

The subject of the award procedure is the procurement of modular class sets for the "Innovation Program Robotics in Primary Schools".

In order to implement the digitization of schools in Baden-Württemberg consistently and nationwide, the Digital School Innovation Program is intended to directly and indirectly promote digital school development at schools in Baden-Württemberg.

The Robotics in Primary School measure serves to promote computer science skills in primary school through the use of robotics in a project-based manner.

Modular class sets are to be procured for the measure, which are expected to be made available to around 100 primary schools annually by the Baden-Württemberg State Media Centre (LMZ).

The class sets to be procured are intended to enable teachers to carry out robotics projects at primary schools in a low-threshold manner.

The class sets should contain elements for building and constructing, as well as programmable controllers and matching didactic material.

The subject of the tender is a framework agreement with a four-year term from the award of the contract, in which an initial 100 class sets will be procured in 2023 (minimum purchase). On the basis of the framework agreement, it must be possible to reorder additional sets. For the years 2024, 2025 and 2026, the LMZ intends to order an additional 100 class sets on average per calendar year. However, there may also be lower or higher order quantities in 2024, 2025 and 2026. For the years 2024, 2025 and 2026, no minimum purchase quantity is guaranteed. The call-off volume for the term falling into 2027 has not yet been determined. There is also no minimum purchase quantity for this period.

In addition to the LMZ, the schools in Baden-Württemberg or their legal entity, the state of Baden-Württemberg, represented by the Center for School Quality and Teacher Education (ZSL) and the city and district media centers in Baden-Württemberg within the meaning of the Media Center Act (MedienZG BW) must be authorized to call off from the framework agreement and thus have the opportunity to procure further sets from their own or carrier funds.

It is estimated that the LMZ will retrieve a total of approximately 400 class sets during the entire term of the framework agreement.

The maximum quantity up to which call-offs from the tendered framework agreement can be made is 2,400 class sets within the entire term of the framework agreement. This maximum quantity is based on the number of primary schools in Baden-Württemberg for which class sets can potentially be retrieved, although it cannot be ruled out that several sets may be retrieved for individual primary schools.
