Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) intends to launch a study to assess the effects the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) had on the three axes of the Europe 2020 strategy, and in particular on the inclusive growth component.
This study will take stock of the different types of investments co-financed by the ERDF in the 2014-2020 period to ensure sustainable and quality employment, better access to health and social care, social inclusion, education and training. It will assess their rationale and the evidence of their effectiveness, efficiency and impact, their coherence with other policies, their relevance and the EU added value. It will seek to identify factors contributing to the success or failure of these investments under different socio-economic conditions, good practices and their contribution to inclusive growth, employment, and social and territorial cohesion.
Ex-post evaluation of Cohesion policy programmes 2014-2020 financed by the ERDF and the Cohesion Fund. Work package 9 – employment, education and social cohesion (2022CE16BAT034).
