The exposure equipment of the tomato greenhouse at the Lepaa branch of Häme University of Applied Sciences will be renewed so that the current HPS furniture will be replaced by hybrid lighting with LED furniture, partly utilising the current HPS equipment. The goal is to achieve significant exposure electrical energy savings, while keeping the tomato yield level, quality, and PAR light quantity at least at the current level. LED fixtures are added as overhead lights, as well as intermediate lights between rows of seedlings.

The current equipment is a Green Master luminaire with an electronic ballast 600 W-400 V. The luminaire is equipped with Philips Green Vision technology. Installation capacity with the current equipment 230 W/m2.
