The Châteaubriant-Derval community of municipalities provides “collection and treatment” skills for household and similar waste throughout its territory. It exercises on behalf of all of its member municipalities:
- door-to-door collection of household waste in bins;
- door-to-door collection of household packaging;
- selective collection in voluntary contribution of paper and glass;
- sorting of household packaging;
- treatment of residual household waste;
- management of the bottom of the quay of the five waste collection centers.
An extension of sorting instructions, incorporating new types of plastics, will be effective from the start of the market in January 2021. Currently, ten contracts for the collection and treatment of household and similar waste and for the management of the dockside of waste collection centers are underway. , passed by the two former Communities of communes or by the Community of Communes Châteaubriant-Derval (since 2017), ending on 12.31.2020.
Transport and treatment of residual household waste- transport of residual household waste from the transfer center located in Châteaubriant to the treatment site proposed by the holder;
- treatment and / or recovery of residual household waste by any technical process duly authorized on the installation: incineration, burial in ISDND (non-hazardous waste storage facility), grinding / composting, methanisation, other technique or process, etc. No constraint n 'is imposed on the holder as to the method of processing OMR;
- administrative management of the transport and treatment of residual household waste (terms of prior acceptance, market monitoring, operating report, etc.).
Transport and sorting of household packaging- transport of packaging from the transfer center located in Châteaubriant to the sorting site proposed by the holder;
- transport of packaging from the transfer center located in Derval to the sorting site proposed by the holder;
- sorting of packaging;
- characterization of received and sorted flows, characterization of sorting refusals at the exit of the sorting process;
- administrative management (including weighing) of the various flows received, sorted and evacuated.
