Structural engineering for the extension of the Goldbachschule Frohnhausen

The Goldbachschule is a secondary school that was attended by around 290 students in 14 classes in the 2021/2022 school year. The adjacent primary school "Schule am Brunnen" was attended by around 170 pupils in 9 classes in the same school year.

The combined location at Rheinstraße 7a in Dillenburg has been extensively renovated in recent years and has shown steadily growing numbers of pupils since the merger of the two schools. To compensate temporarily, modular classrooms have already been placed in the schoolyard on an interim basis.

The present measure is intended to create an extension building with space for the required classrooms and all-day care, administrative rooms, as well as rooms for classroom support and participation assistants. In addition, a canteen with a serving kitchen and lounges and multi-purpose rooms is part of the planned room program. There are expansion areas on the school property and it is conceivable that they could be converted and extended to the existing building. The integration into the existing structures of the school is part of the planning task.
