The aim of this RFP and the subsequent dialogue is to deliver a broadcast control system (BCS) that is capable of meeting NRK's long term strategic goals.

This is a negotiated procedure in two stages. In the first stage we only ant requests for qualification. See chapter 8.

Applicants that are qualified and chosen to participate will be able to submit a tender in stage two.

BCS is a central component in a broadcast production platform. It is important for NRK to find both the correct product and a long term partner, with a product road map that is in line wth the entire scope drafted as part of annex 1. The BCS specifications communicate the following NRK requirements in order to give information on the RFP process:

A supplier partner in order to deliver and develop a BCS product.

Specific functionality for the first edition of NRK's modernised production platform (MPP v0.5).

A BCS product with a road map that meets long term strategic goals.

The BCS specification (annex 1) ought to be read in conjunction with the accompanying RFP documentation, and will give potential BCS suppliers a clear understanding of the product and partnership requirements in order to guide their RFP answers.
