The target of the acquisition is seasonal maintenance inspections of roofs, terraces and balconies, as well as roof safety products, as well as roof snow drops, of properties owned or co-owned by the University of Helsinki Group. Seasonal maintenance inspections (spring and autumn maintenance) include visual inspection of the condition of roofs, terraces and balconies, as well as roof safety products, removal of debris from surfaces (roofs, terraces and balconies), runners and roof drains. Roof snow drops are made as separately ordered hourly work.
The target of the acquisition is the seasonal maintenance inspections and roof snow falls of properties in the Helsinki city centre, Meilahti, Kumpula and Viikki areas, as well as roof safety products belonging to the ownership or partial ownership of the Helsinki University Group. In addition to the above, the procurement includes maintenance-related roof repairs and renewals in accordance with the proposal for measures drawn up and approved by the Client. The list of properties subject to competitive tendering is attached as Appendix 2.

Some of the roofs that need to be serviced have solar panels, the existence of which must be taken into account when carrying out roof maintenance inspections, maintenance work and snow falls.
Several protected buildings of historical value are under maintenance. Due to the diversity of the property portfolio, the Client requires the Bidders to provide evidence of well-performed maintenance and repair work as well as successful snow removal work on different types of roofs and expertise in the handling of various roofing materials. The requirements for references are set out in Annex 3_referenssit_uusi.
A framework agreement on the procurement of roof maintenance inspection work is concluded with the 1-4 Bidders with the highest scores. Before concluding contracts, contract negotiations are conducted with the selected suppliers, which ensure a common understanding of the service to be purchased and the content of the contract.
The client distributes the work between the selected framework contract suppliers.
