The State Criminal Police Office of Thuringia (TLKA) is, among other things, the central office for police information and communication in Thuringia. This function is performed by Department 5 "Information and Communication".
Department 5 "Information and Communication" operates central, highly available procedures and further develops them with corresponding legal, professional or technical requirements.
In addition, the department provides all central IT services, clients and infrastructure servers. The IT systems of the Thuringian Police (ISTPOL) today consist of 60+ central applications, 5500+ PC clients and 450+ servers.
The operation of the data center in the TLKA is distributed over 2 separate room cells in different fire compartments. As part of the procurement of new hardware for production, test and development systems remaining in the departments, server systems are to be replaced in parts of these environments.
Part of the project is the delivery of storage and server hardware, operating system licenses and administration software as well as the commissioning and integration of the delivered components within the IT systems of the Thuringian police at the locations in accordance with Annex 2.18.
