At its meeting on 13/01/2020, the Intercommunal Land Development Commission of Zegerscappel, Bollezeele, Eringhem, Pitgam decided to request the Department in accordance with Article L.121-2 of the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code, to initiate a land development operation. The agricultural, forestry and environmental land development operation was ordered by order of the President of the Departmental Council on 28 October 2020 on the territory of the municipalities of Zegerscappel, Bollezeele, Eringhem, Pitgam with extension to the municipality of Esquelbecq. It covers an area of approximately 2,515 ha. The Intercommunal Land Development Commission of Zegerscappel - Bollezeele - Eringhem - Pitgam has drawn up its land development project which must, in accordance with Articles R.121-20 and R.123-10 of the Rural and Maritime Fishing Code, be the subject of an environmental impact study before being submitted to a public inquiry
