LVNL wants to re-tender the currently purchased National IP-VPN service. The purpose of the tender is to contract one supplier for the provision of Managed IP-VPN services with appropriate high availability. By investing the services with one supplier, it becomes possible for LVNL to realize the realization and management of the network with a minimum of resources and to keep it operational.

The contract for data communications services shall include, at a more detailed level, the following elements:

• Laying fiber optic cabling and realizing and maintaining Managed IP-VPN services between initially 5 Remote locations spread over the Netherlands and the two Central locations at Schiphol-Oost (LVNL head office and the LVNL Polaris building);

• Providing IP-VPN services at other Central locations, Remote locations and Fallback locations;

• Realizing and maintaining automatic backup connections for selected IP-VPN connections based on a mobile network technology;

• The provision and maintenance of an administrator (dashboard) functionality of the technical services provided, which includes indicators regarding maintenance, incident reports and monthly service reports;

• Realizing Adds/Changes/Decomissioning on the technical services, carried out according to the compliancy rules from LVNL (documentation and test reports [incl. technical and cyber security requirements]);

• Providing a Service Desk and IT Operations Management for the Event, Incident, Problem and Access Management processes.
