The administration of the city of Münster and the Stadtwerke Münster have been commissioned by a Council decision to jointly develop the new construction of the Stadtbade Süd. The owner of Stadtbades Süd is the subsidiary of Stadtwerke Münster GmbH, the “Bädermanagement Münster GmbH”. The planned area is located in the southern part of Münster. The property Inselbogen 36 is located directly opposite the central green area of the listed housing estate of Grüner Grund (Gartenstadt Habichtshöhe/Grüner Grund, built in 1924-1931) and has a plot area of 5 277 m2. The newly built Stadtbad Süd is a sports pool, which is mainly intended for school and club sports, but is also open to public use. The sports pool includes a five-lane swimming pool measuring 12.5 m x 25 m, a non-swimmer pool measuring 8 m x 12.5 m and a toddler area with a water surface of approximately 15 m2. In addition, there are the outdoor swimming pools. The room range comprises a total of approx. 2,000 m2.

The cubic structure with a gross tonnage of approx. 19,000 cbm on an EC basic dimension of approx. 53 x 37 m will be built in one storey and has a complete basement, except for a small section in the north-east.

The sanitary facilities are supplied by a water plant with central heat generation. Most consumers are on the ground floor. This includes 25 showers, washbasins and toilets. If possible, the lines on the ground floor are routed behind a pretext or over a slope ceiling. Due to elevated temperatures in the technical centre, cold water circulation is planned to ensure drinking water hygiene. In addition to the facilities on the ground floor, the bath technology is replenished via the water system. The dessert points are located under one of the swimming pools. The wastewater generated is discharged via 2 house exit points. For wastewater generated from bathing technology, a basic pipe including a pump sump is planned to be used to dissipate the wastewater. The drainage of the roof surfaces is carried out via a pressure drainage system. There are 7 drainage points on the roof where rainwater is routed from the roof at 4 points.
