Extent

The district heating system for Borlänge Energi and Falu Energi & Vatten is built together with an approximately 17 km long DN350 district heating pipeline between the cities. Now the district heating networks will strengthen from the common pipeline to central parts of the cities' district heating systems to enable more efficient energy production in each city.

This procurement relates to the expansion in Falun and the total distance amounts to approximately 3,200 meters. The wires will cross major roads, including the roads. E16 and Route 293. The wires will be laid near the railway on part of the route. Parts of the land-laid stretch pass polluted and archaeological sites. Please note that the industrial history landscape around Stora Kopparberget and Falun is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
