Against this background, the UKM is putting out to tender the use and associated implementation of DDoS protection, a Web Application Firewall (WAF) and certificate management.

For holistic protection of the network infrastructure and web services, DDoS protection is required at the network level (OSI Layer 3 & 4) and application level (OSI Layer 7). In addition, the web services of the UKM are to be secured with a web application firewall. The protection is to be supplemented by automated management of SSL certificates for the UKM's web services. The required benefits can be found in the following points of this document
