The municipality of Kaustinen is asking for tenders for the winter maintenance of planned streets and roads for the contract period 1.10.2023 - 31.5.2026.

The contract includes a possible option for the winter season 2026-2027. The work areas covered by the contract are presented in the street lists and work area maps in the tender documents.

The municipality of Kaustinen is asking for tenders for the winter maintenance of planned streets and roads for the contract period 1.10.2023 - 31.5.2026.

The contract includes a possible option for the winter season 2026-2027. The work areas covered by the contract are presented in the street lists and work area maps in the tender documents.

Winter maintenance work consists of the following tasks:

1) Installation and removal of plowing capes

2) Preventive work, including locating building elements essential for winter maintenance work and protecting/marking the necessary structures (e.g. manhole covers, closures, fire hydrants, dividers, street cabinets, etc.)

3) Snow ploughing work on zoning roads and in specially designated yard and parking areas, including the removal of slush and polanth

4) Anti-slippery conditions on zoning plans and in specially designated yard and parking areas, including sand and storage

5) Snow ploughing work on socially granted driveways (snow ploughing only)

6) Short-distance transfers of snow and removal to the snow dumping site, including loading and spreading at the dumping site

The contract includes hourly rate-based work and separately charged materials. The contractor is compensated according to the actual hours and material quantities on a monthly basis at the hourly and unit prices specified in the contractor's offer.
