This tender is in respect of consultancy services for the design, tendering, tender action, construction and handover phases of the West Clare Asbestos Remediation project.

Seven sites in the Kilrush and Kilkee area (County Clare) have been identified as containing asbestos containing materials (ACMs) and asbestos cement pipes. It is understood that the ACMs and asbestos cement pipes originated from water services mains replacement and mains repair works. The ACMs were primarily deposited on the surface at the sites, although at a number of the sites, partially buried pieces were identified. It is now required to remediate the sites by removing contaminated deposits for contained offsite disposal. This would be followed by restoration of topographical landforms/minor landscaping works as appropriate.
