The project comprises an extensive deep refurbishment and extension of the existing Block (L) to accommodate facilities for the Faculty of Engineering & Design. The existing building is predominantly single storey totalling 1,568sqm and the refurbishment will involve full element replacement. The proposed new build of Approx. 1,700 sqm will comprise a part three storey extension to the existing building. Accommodation includes art and design studios, workshops, black box accommodation, ceramics, print and other specialist art and design studios together with a café, staff and ancillary accommodation and associated external works to include a 50 space carpark.
