Planning of the construction of a completely new (parking guidance) system and the redesign of the mobility offer
The target system (City Information System (SIS)) consists of three components:
(1) Intensive data acquisition using new detectors and sensors
(2) Data analysis using artificial intelligence (AI) in a SIS traffic computer
(3) Data provision within the framework of a city information system by means of digital display boards
SWT – Anstalt des öffentlichen Rechts der Stadt Trier (SWT-AöR) intends to completely renew the existing parking guidance system and add further functions.
The measures initially include the (over) planning of sensors and detectors. Various parking systems are to be included in the system as the basis for the new parking guidance system. In addition, new detectors/sensors will also be used to determine traffic data such as traffic density (Fz/km) and current air quality. During planning, data protection and data security in the course of data collection and processing (anonymization) are particularly relevant and must be observed.
All collected data is to be collected in a new (virtual) traffic computer. This is to be equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) that can be used to optimize the traffic situation. The results of the data evaluated in the traffic computer are to be displayed to road users using a new and innovative city information system (SIS). In addition to currently useful routes and destinations, this dynamic parking guidance and information system is also intended to provide additional information such as event information or tourist information.
All measures should focus in particular on the reduction of immissions. This can be e.g. can be ensured by the use of modern technology and CO2-neutral power supply. In addition, the profitability of the project is to be sought by keeping the investment and subsequent maintenance and repair costs low.
The services to be awarded include the transfer of the preliminary concepts into an implementation planning as well as the preparation and support of the award. Following the award, the construction supervision of the technical equipment and, in the case of the traffic facilities, the construction overhead management must be carried out.
