The Municipality of Brugherio needs a maintenance service in order to optimize the use of the road, pedestrian and cycle path, both through maintenance interventions aimed at restoring emergency safety conditions for user citizens, and through preventive interventions in order to extend its useful life cycle.

This is, as defined in art. 1 of the special conditions, for a public contract for tailor-made services which is divided into:

- Surveillance, monitoring and emergency service;

- Scheduled service of small extraordinary maintenance on the road surfaces of roads, squares, parking lots, sidewalks and cycle paths;

- Snow and ice removal service from roads, cycle paths, squares, parking lots, municipal sidewalks, during the winter seasons (15 November – 15 March) falling within the contractual period.

See point II.1.4 above: - The contract covers the following activities and services (including works and supplies which, as specified in Article 3 of the specifications, are ancillary):

- the ordinary maintenance of the road, pedestrian and cycle heritage owned or available to the Administration,

- maintenance of road signs;

- continuous monitoring of the state of conservation of the surface of streets, squares, parking lots, sidewalks and cycle paths;

- works of a more purely extraordinary nature, which will be included from time to time in the executive maintenance planning; These interventions will mainly but not exclusively: milling and asphalting, of limited size, of roads, parking lots, squares, sidewalks and cycle paths; reconstruction/rehabilitation/construction of continuous sections of sidewalks and cycle paths, reconstruction/rehabilitation of self-locking pavements, porphyry, stone, etc., curbs of sidewalks, flower beds, road parterres, etc.; construction of new drains and related connections where necessary; installation of elements of street furniture, etc.;

- prompt intervention and availability to remove hazards on roads, cycle paths, sidewalks, etc. ..

- the service of monitoring the weather conditions in the winter seasons falling within the contractual period;

- coordination for the implementation of the snow service;

- mechanized and manual snow and ice removal service;

- the antifreeze salt spreader service, including the supply, transport and storage of salt at the municipal warehouse.
