Superlocal is the umbrella name for the area development around three high-rise apartments in Kerkrade.

Within the Superlocal project, WML, WBL and the municipality of Kerkrade are working on an innovative sub-project: the development of a closed water cycle. A decentralized water supply where the ambition is to realize various water-saving facilities on site (part of HEEMwonen) and to collect rainwater, purify it and supply it as drinking water. Waste water is also intended to be collected and treated locally so that it can be reused (in a local car wash and laundry facility, for example) before it is infiltrated into the soil.

In the context of this part of the project, a temporary rainwater treatment plant must be designed and realized in Kerkrade. This treatment will be in operation for approximately 3 years.
