medius KLINIKEN intends to introduce a patient portal. This is intended to improve internal and intersectoral communication. In addition, the patient should be involved in the communication process, taking into account the EU GDPR and information security according to the industry-specific security standard for healthcare in hospitals (B3S). This is intended to make the exchange of information between service providers and recipients more efficient. As a result, the long-term goal is to streamline the admission process and relieve the burden on patient administration. In addition, the solution is intended to relieve internal resources in both administrative and supply processes. In addition, the company's internal processes are to be optimized and digitally supported in the best possible way by means of a software solution.
The solution to be procured should have a license term of three years, starting on the day after acceptance of the entire system, as well as further extension options.
As a central element, the portal supports, among other things, treatment management and admission management and the electronic documentation of care and treatment services. To this end, the aim is to increase networking within the health care system and improve patient care. In this way, a pre-planned briefing is possible and both appointment management and referral management are carried out directly in the patient portal, so that patients do not have to bring paper documents to the treatment. The online referral slips, as well as the uploaded treatment documents are already stored in the portal. The patient portal is intended to provide central, electronic access to resources from various sources, regardless of location. The patient portal is intended to provide an overview of available information and personalized access. It is intended to optimize process flows, taking into account information security. It must enable the various needs of users to be dynamically generated and adapted.

The solution must fit into the existing and continuously evolving system landscape using FHIR interfaces and meet the requirements of the Hospital Future Act with regard to interoperability. The solution is to be offered as an on-premise solution.
