North West Leicestershire District Council are seeking a partner who they can work to enter into an agreement for the following:
— the construction and operation of a new leisure centre in Coalville,
— investment and operation of the Hood Park Leisure Centre.
The Council have taken the decision to proceed with the procurement of a partner to both develop and deliver the ongoing management of the proposed facilities, which would be for a 25-year period. During the lifetime of the contract, there will be opportunity for the partner to work with the council to develop these and peripheral services. The existing facilities are currently managed in-house.
The Council encourage submissions from all leisure operators including existing leisure not-for-profit organisations and other operators or social enterprises which may have relevant experience.
The contract value has been determined using projected build costs and total revenue over 25 years.
The procurement process being undertaken is following the Competitive Dialogue process. All procurement documents are available for suppliers to view, in order to decide whether to complete a response to the supplier selection questionnaire (SSQ).
