The urban railway line 82 was expanded in the area from the stop Kohlgartenstraße to the stop Stadtkrone Ost in 1992 as a light rail line as part of the public transport acceleration program for the use of the B-car. Since then, the platforms in this section have uniformly a platform height of 38 cm above sea level. SO. Due to the amendment of the Passenger Transportation Act of 1.1.2013, there is a requirement that the accessibility of local public transport in Germany should be as complete as possible by 1.1.2022.
In this context, the planning for the production of accessibility at the Stadtkrone Ost stop in the middle position of the B1 and the creation of barrier-free access via the new bridge should be created. It should be noted that the redesign of the railway facilities and the construction of the new bridge should be coordinated with each other in design and construction execution.
In addition, the realization of the aforementioned infrastructural measures should take into account the vehicle concept of the railway operator DSW21. Thereafter, the provisional use of the stops from the year 2024 is sought.
The total estimated investment volume of the construction project, including a planning effort of around EUR 700 000, totals around EUR 5 800 000.
As part of the preliminary planning, preferred variants of stop trainings were already applied and evaluated. On this basis, a decision was taken by the City of Dortmund Council on 13.12.2018. The project is therefore based on the following concept:
The light rail is led in the area of the station Stadtkrone Ost in the stock of the tracks. The new stop is to be arranged as a central platform east of the bridge with elevator and stairs.
This means a new construction of the Stadtbahnhaltestellen under economic consideration with a platform height of 94 cm above sea level. For the access routes, this means that the planning of the demolition and replacement of the access bridge, including the ramp and staircase structures, is required.
It is aimed at the Stadtbahnhaltestellen Kohlgartenstr. to shape Stadtkrone Ost with a unified handwriting. The planning is developed by an architectural office and must be incorporated into the planning in coordination.
Likewise, the concerns of industrial engineering are to be incorporated into the planning.
The entire construction project must be carried out "under operation" (public transport and IV); this must be taken into account, taking into account the different construction phases of the traffic facilities, in particular when constructing the bridge structures.
