FE 15.0598 / 2014 / CRB - Heavy duty road bridge SS 80, adaptation to Eurocodes.
The heavy road bridge device SS 80 (SS 80 bridge) is a steel truss road bridge that consists of standardized components. The individual components can be quickly assembled with screws to a makeshift bridge. It can be quickly dismantled and used for new projects. The aim of the project is to update the description and construction instructions for the SS 80 bridge based on the standards and regulations currently in force. The aim is to bring the heavy road bridge device up to the current state of the art.
In the first step, the bridge device should be recalculated for a suitable, predetermined traffic load level, which was derived from previous traffic load simulations and comparative calculations. The resulting deficits and possible reinforcement and upgrading measures are to be shown. Together with already known deficits, such as. B. the lack of shear force coupling of adjacent road slabs, the fatigue-prone roadway transition construction and the attachment of the road slabs to the trusses, solutions for a proper reinforcement should be worked out, possibly using known approaches. Finally, a new, updated edition of the description and construction instructions is to be created on the basis of the tested static calculations and the execution plans.
