Aalto University (hereinafter referred to as "Customer", "Subscriber" or "Aalto") requests a tender for the procurement of storage solutions.

The target of the procurement is various storage solutions as well as the procurement of related accessories and support services.

Aalto University was founded in 2010. The university consists of six schools, 25,000 students, 5,000 employees and about 2,000 visitors.

The main product areas of the agreement are:

• NAS- i SAN-tallennuslaitteet

• S3-objektitallennuslaitteet

• Varmuuskopiointilaitteet

• FC switches required for data transfer between storage devices

Storage solutions play a key role, serving Aalto University's 10 000 workstations, 2 000 servers and more than 30 000 users. Aalto University's research requires high-quality IT infrastructure and the ability to flexibly increase capacity. Aalto University's research activities are computational and data-intensive, an example of which is the Science IT infrastructure, which includes a 10 000 processor core computing server with 2 PiB storage capacities.
