The University Hospital Düsseldorf (abbreviated UKD) is building a new clinic building on the Heinrich Heine University (HHU) campus to house the skin and eye clinic. The new building will also house a bone marrow transplant clinic (inpatient and outpatient) and a geriatric department. The 5-storey new reinforced concrete building with a basement and technical floor has no connection to adjacent buildings above ground.
Underground, the structure will be connected to the automatic goods transport system (AWT) and to various media via ducts.
