With the mobility concept, the city of Bensheim is taking a sustainable, holistic approach in order to create an attractive offer for all stakeholders in mobility. The aim is to achieve equality between modes of transport. By shifting transport from motorised private transport to environmentally friendly modes of transport, climate protection is being worked on at the same time. With its climate protection program, the city of Bensheim stands for "sustainability as a leitmotif for citizens and administration".
By reducing motorized traffic, the city of Bensheim contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions and greenhouse gases.
In addition, a traffic model is to be created for the urban area.
