The aim of the competitive dialogue is to develop the service description and finally to award a contract for the supply, implementation and maintenance of a laboratory information system (LIS) for the Passau Clinic to an expert and efficient (suitable) company. The bidders have to offer a complete solution that meets the objectives and meets the requirements of the Passau Hospital.
The Klinikum Passau ("Klinikum") is a hospital of care level II and academic teaching hospital of the University of Regensburg. It has 656 acute care beds, with around 32,000 inpatients treated annually. The Passau Clinic employs around 1,700 people and is also home to an eClinic nursing school.
Klinikum Passau is continuing to drive forward the digitalisation of the hospital. In this regard, various areas of the hospital will be digitized and further expanded under the Hospital Future Act.

The bidders have to offer a complete solution that meets the objectives and meets the requirements of the Passau Hospital.
• Delivery of a Laboratory Information System (LIS) for the Klinikum Passau with the following requirements:
- Consolidation and harmonization of the existing LIS landscape, if possible to one manufacturer, if necessary with another subsystem;
- Implementation of a bidirectional LIS interface with the Engelschalk laboratory as well as establishment of a request mask for shipping parameters using an order entry system;
- Implementation of order entry requirement for company doctors;
- Digitization of the follow-up request procedure (introduction of a follow-up request mask with the establishment of a messenger system in the area of sample acceptance);
- Digitization ordering of medicines and blood products;
- Visualization of laboratory processes, quality indicators and analysis data at the interface to PDMS systems as well as
• Implementation of the Laboratory Information System (LIS) in the system landscape of the Klinikum Passau as well as
• Provision of maintenance services related to the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for the Passau Hospital.
