A procurement ring coordinated by the West Ostrobothnia District Local Government Consortium Auxiliary Equipment Center is requesting your offer for pressure support I and II medical support socks and sleeves for the period 1.1.2020-31.12.2021 and any options for the period 1.1.-31.12.2022 and 1.1.-31.12.2023.
Following this call, 1 supplier will be selected to supply all requested products in pressure classes I and II, both finished and bespoke. All the requested products are specifically medical aids.
The need for medical stockings and sleeves can be caused by a severe heart failure / swelling problem and underlying pain, severe varicose veins, skin changes, pigmentation, thinning skin, which can lead to leg ulcers or wheelchair para or tetraplegia with lower limbs. Medical Compression Socks and Sleeves are also used to treat venous problems in accordance with the Current Care Recommendation. Medical support socks and sleeves require a gradual decrease in body pressure. For compression stockings, 3 different elasticities (high, medium and low elastic) must be available for different pressure classes. For support sleeves, the offer is asked for as many different elasticities as possible. The current care recommendation defines pressure classes I and II for medical support socks and sleeves as follows:
- pressure class I = 15-21 mmHg (+/- 1 mmHg)
pressure class II = 23-32 mmHg (+/- 1 mmHg).
Finished and bespoke products must have at least sizes S-XL, short and long in size, with and without silicone edges, and open and closed toe socks. See. For a more detailed breakdown of required features, see Acquisition Criteria.
The products offered must meet the mandatory requirements for procurement. If all mandatory requirements are not met, the offer will be rejected.
