Network Rail (NR) requires the manufacturer and supply of Insulators in order to meet the needs of its internal and external customers for electrified railway works in Great Britain.

The Insulators required are those used to provide solid electrical insulation between live parts of the overhead contact system and earthed parts of small part and structural steelwork or between parts connected to different electrical sections. Insulators must also have mechanical strength capability to meet the requirements of their support function within the overhead contact system.

Tenderers will be required to supply different types of Insulators to suit NR's existing ad proposed for 25KV AC electrified overhead line systems.

NR may request suppliers for insulators to come ready fixed to cantilever tubes and registration assemblies as a complete sub-assembly.
