We need reliable external contractors capable of delivering the required calibre of workmanship on time, to cost. We also require contractors to meet our standards in terms of behaviour, liaison, and reporting. Finally we have to procure these services in a way that meets our obligations under Public Sector Procurement Regulations.
This DPS will allow us to do that properly, fairly and openly with suppliers.
Remedial repairs to tiled or felt rooves. Replacing the felt only to pitched tiled rooves, to include removing and re-instating the existing tiles complete with either a traditional or dry ridge system. Complete replacement of pitched tiled rooves renewing both the felt and tiles with either a traditional or dry ridge system. Complete replacement of pitched or flat felt rooves including upgrading insulation and replacement of under boards if required.
‘Void’ refurbishments. Works can include property clearance and cleaning, decorating works, kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, carpentry works, general repairs and exterior works.
Replace or overboard existing fascias and soffits with UPVC including the installation of new UPVC gutters and downpipes. Replace existing gutters and downpipes only for new UPVC Gutters and downpipes. Replace existing soil pipes for new UPVC soil pipes.
Full or partial re-wiring of properties. Periodic testing of installations. Remedial repairs or additions to existing installations. Installation or replacement of smoke, heat or CO alarms.
Replace existing doors and windows for new UPVC doors and windows.
Full or partial kitchen refurbishments. Works to include the removal and disposal of the existing kitchen including flooring and wall tiling. Remedial works to walls and floors as required. Installation of the new kitchen, wall tiles and floor covering. Re-decoration works.
Full or partial bathroom refurbishments. Works to include removal and disposal of existing sanitary ware, wall tiles and floor covering. Remedial works to walls and floors as required. Installation of new sanitary ware, wall tiles and floor covering. Re decoration works.
Heating replacements.
Replacement of either full central heating systems or boilers only. Systems can be either gas, oil or solid fuel.
Boiler servicing & amp; repairs
To carry out the annual servicing of gas, oil and solid fuel boilers and central heating systems. To annually test and maintain solar hot water systems and mains pressured cylinders. Carry out maintenance as required. Offer a 24 hour emergency service.
(Note servicing is under contract until 2018, it will be re-awarded vis this DPS then.).
Internal and external decorations to woodwork, walls & amp; ceilings.
Works can include repairs/replacement of brick and blockwork, rendering, plastering works, concrete works, paving, drain repairs or replacements.
