The services will consist of observation of landslides, avalanches and other natural events, both by preventive investigations and participation during actual accidents, along the infrastructure of the Norwegian Rail Administration (Jernbaneverket). Furthermore, in addition to minor tasks (e.g. observation and documentation of the progress of projects), Jernbaneverket will also consider the development of surveillance along parts of the lines working ‘beyond line of sight’ (BLOS; this project depends on approval from the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority).
