VSO OLS de Recon, is on the list of schools that are entitled to replacement new construction within the municipality of Rotterdam. OLS de Recon is a school for Secondary Special Education for long-term sick pupils. Each student has a specific need for care and medical problems.

The current school building is located at Dordtsestraatweg 472 in Rotterdam, and no longer meets the requirements and wishes of OLS de Recon, both (climate) technically and spatially functionally.

The replacement new building will be a total of 2,081 m2 GFA, divided over two proportional layers. A special education concept where education and care come together and housing plays an important role in facilitating a healthy and stimulating environment for this target group.
