The target of the procurement is battery-powered hydraulic rescue tools under the conditions set out in this invitation to tender.

The rescue tools to be procured will be placed in first-response firefighting vehicles. The contracting entity's estimate of the procurement need for 2022 is one rescue tool kit. The procurement volumes for the coming years are linked to the contracting entity's appropriation resources and the need to renew the equipment.

The rescue tool kit to be purchased consists of the following tools and equipment a-g:

a) Spreader (1 pc) including

- battery (1 pc)

- chain set (2 pcs chains and 2 pcs of zippers)

b) Cutter (1 pc) including

- battery (1 pc)

c) Tankolevitin (1 pc) including

- battery (1 pc)

- support for the rod rod (1 pcs.)

d) Vehicle charger 24 V (3 pcs)

e) AC charger (1 pcs)

f) AC adapter (1 pc)

g) Spare batteries for equipment (3 pcs.).

Charging of batteries is carried out primarily with the help of vehicle chargers (24 V), but one mains charger is also purchased for the series.

There is no standard for battery-powered hydraulic rescue tools. Standard SFS-EN 13204:2016 (valid) Double acting hydraulic rescue tools for fire and rescue service use. Safety and performance requirements Safety and performance requirements) do not cover battery-powered hydraulic rescue tools. An update of the standard is underway to take into account battery-powered tools, but the update will not be completed until late 2023 at the earliest. For this reason, the current standard is used only where applicable (see section Criteria for the object of procurement).

The quantities of contracts presented in this invitation to tender are estimates and the contract does not constitute an obligation for the contracting entity to purchase a quantity.
