In certain circumstances witness evidence is taken in the form of a multimedia recording, to be played during tribunal proceedings such as crown court trials. The buyer’s require the provision of an ad-hoc editing service to provide amended/redacted versions of these recordings.

Source material may be provided to the supplier in a number of formats including, but not limited to:

— DVD,

— Blu-ray,

— USB flash drive or other portable storage devices.

The supplier shall edit recordings in accordance with the requirements set out by the buyer. Editing instructions may be provided in a number of forms, including typed transcripts that accompany the recordings.

Individual editing requirements may include, but not limited to, the following:

Sections of footage removed entirely from the recordings, both audio and visual elements.

— sections of audio in the recording to be ‘muted,’

— the addition of subtitles,

— Pixcellation and/or voice distortion to disguise the identity of the subject.

All supplier personnel working on this contract must hold SC level clearance.
