Westfalen Weser (hereinafter WW) is planning to introduce SAP S/4HANA as a new implementation with the aim of extensive process standardization and optimization as well as group-wide harmonization. The new system with the associated changes to user interfaces, processes and structures is to go live at the start of the 2026 financial and calendar year.
For this introductory project, WW is looking for an implementation partner who can fill the methodological, technical and functional areas of responsibility depicted in this process description in a high-quality manner and carry out the implementation project.
Advertised activities include the conception and implementation of processes and functions (including customizing in the system as well as development and programming activities as required, e.g. at interfaces) as well as project management and overarching solution architecture.
Optional components include activities such as data migration and training.

Particularly with regard to scope decisions and project controlling, regular decision-making bodies and reporting mechanisms must be established in order to present incurred and outstanding expenses.
In the later phase "Call for tenders", it is planned that providers will be invited to submit methodological, technical or professional concepts in connection with their offer based on the project and service description in order to present their approach and understanding of the project.
Target:
The project aims to put the SAP S/4HANA system into operation on January 1, 2026. To this end, the processes with a focus on the possibilities in SAP S/4HANA must be redesigned, set up and made available for use in order to exploit the innovation and automation opportunities and efficiency potentials that arise. These processes are implemented in all companies of the group of companies as well as in operationally managed companies listed below.
The future SAP system must enable the growth of the group of companies through the scalability of the commercially oriented processes and offer a higher user-friendliness for users* in order to be able to map the operational processes with limited available capacities in the company's business areas. For this purpose, optimization and, in particular, automation possibilities in connection with the processes to be provided are to be identified and implemented.
