We require communication networks which are high-bandwidth to enable high volumes of digital traffic and which are sufficiently resilient. The network must provide 24/7, 365 anytime-anywhere wireless connectivity and a managed network service for learners, staff and businesses. Upload and download speeds are critical for the accuracy of the technologies and sharing this information with learners and employers in rural locations is currently a real challenge which we want to alleviate.

High-bandwidth connectivity would be achieved by providing a fibre infrastructure which is resilient and delivers greater data throughput.
Recent progress in agricultural technology through GPS systems and field mapping has meant that increases in the volume and speed requirements of data transmission has been particularly rapid. Upload and download speeds are critical for the accuracy of the technologies and sharing this information with learners and employers in rural locations is currently a real challenge which we want to alleviate.
