Bergen Municipality, the Agency for Development, hereby invites tenderers to participate in a contest for a turnkey contract in the U2700 Rå School, small sports hall project.
Rå School in the Fana district was built 1961 - 1963 and is dimensioned for approx. 450 pupils at secondary level. The gym hall and premises for the school health service are currently in a free-standing gym building that is in bad technical condition and is scheduled for demolition. The other school buildings on the site were upgraded a few years ago and will not be assessed for major renovation work for at least 15 years. A decision has been made, however, that the swimming pool at Rå School is to be phased out. The pool, which is located in the centre of the existing school building, will be altered to a social zone for the pupils. The entire project is planned to be executed in NS8407 Turnkey Contract.
A new sports hall is planned of 'basketball hall' size on the site, which will also have room for the school health service's functions. It is a prerequisite that the sports hall fully complies with all requirements for applying for lottery funding. Rå School needs more teaching rooms, 2 classrooms, and 2 group rooms due to increasing pupil numbers. The 2 classrooms with the accompanying group rooms will be built with a connection to the new sports hall.
