Description:

Aim:

to provide preventive and corrective maintenance for all the audiovisual technical installations at the European Parliament's site in Brussels, as well as part of the installations located at the Strasbourg site.

The Audiovisual Unit's installations are characterised by 4 types of technologies:

(a) the traditional audiovisual technologies of TV, radio and multimedia (video recorders, switching matrices, cameras with their robotics, monitoring equipment, MPEG encoders and decoders, etc.);

(b) dedicated IT-based audiovisual technologies (video servers, non-linear editing, etc.);

(c) traditional IT technologies and computer networks: PC platforms, database server, LAN, etc.);

(d) studio lighting technologies and electromechanical suspension systems (consoles, dimmer switches, projectors, pantographs, etc.).
