Feasibility study for the improvement of drinking water and sanitation services from the Soum dam

The general objective of this study is to assess the feasibility of creating a water production centre (‘centre de production d’eau’ – CPE) from the Soum dam to solve the problem of drinking water supply with a regional approach, as well as improving the management of wastewater and excreta in the city of Koudougou and surrounding communities.

This feasibility study will provide the National Office for Water and Sanitation, on the basis of a diagnosis of the current and future situation, with the investments to be made to meet the population’s water demand and to improve the management of domestic wastewater in accordance with the available resources and the development of the centres concerned.
