The tender includes a framework agreement on the purchase of green bags for food waste for Forsyning Helsingør Affald A/S. The green plastic bags are handed out to households in Helsingør Municipality and are used for the collection of food waste in approx. 28,000 private households.

The tendered contract is expected to enter into force on 1 May 2023 and expires after three years with the option to extend the contract for a further 12 months. The maximum duration of the contract is thus four years.

The value of the contract is estimated to be approximately DKK 1.5 million annually. If the contract is extended for a total of 4 years, the total contract amount will be DKK 6.0 million. However, it is planned to expand the food waste scheme to include more households in Helsingør Municipality corresponding to an additional up to approx. 4,000 households, including Helsingør inner city, at some point within the next four years, which is why the maximum expected purchase under the contract is expected to be DKK 7.0 million over four years.
