L 336

Landesstraße 336 is located in North Rhine-Westphalia in the Bergisches Land nature park in the Oberberg district and its sections 19 and 20 are in the municipality of Morsbach between the district of Hülstert and the town center.

Between sections 19 and 20, the district road 58 meets the L 336 in the network node 5112016. The L 336 in the section described is to be assigned to the regional connection function level (III) according to the RIN and the road category LS III and accordingly to the RAL class EKL 3. It serves as a connection between Morsbach and the B 256 motorway feeder to Autobahn 4 and thus represents an important link, especially for local companies. It also connects the Morsbach basic center with the Waldbröl central center.

The expansion section has a length of around 3,750 m and, in the planning area, has predominantly lane widths of less than 7.00 m as well as small banquet widths, so that cases of encounter cannot be guaranteed without conflict throughout the route. In addition, heavy transport of modules and container structures occurs regularly. Overall, characteristic of this country road in the planning area are a high degree of curvature with sometimes very small curve radii, a difficult terrain with a moving topography and a densely forested route.

The L 336 is to be expanded in two phases (BA).

The 1st BA includes the conversion of the junction L 336 / L 324; here its optimization

The aim of the expansion measure is to ensure the conflict-free and smooth flow of traffic along the entire section of the L 336 described.

The L 324 is also in North Rhine-Westphalia in the Bergisches Land nature park in the Oberberg district and its section 2 in the municipality of Morsbach between the Volperhausen districts

(NK 5112015 with L 326) and Appenhagen (NK 5112004 with L 94) (see Fig. 1, page 2). The L 324 in the section described can be assigned according to the RIN of the connection function level (IV) and the road category LS IV and therefore according to the RAL to the design class EKL 4. The lane widths are usually less than 6.00 m with small banquet widths, so that here, too, encounters cannot be guaranteed without conflict throughout the route. The expansion line is approximately 1,840 m long.

Overall, the section is also characterized by a sometimes high degree of curvature with very small curve radii, difficult terrain with moving topography and dense forest.

The L 324 is to be expanded in a construction phase with full closure. It should be noted that the L 324 as a bypass route for the L 336 must accommodate heavy traffic including special transports and serves as an important connection to the BAB 4 during its expansion.

The aim of the expansion measure is to ensure the conflict-free and smooth flow of traffic along the entire section of the L 336 described.

The hub in Morsbach Hülstert is currently being renovated; the existing intersection shape as a traffic sign regulated intersection remains. The traffic of paragraphs 18 and 19 of the L 336 and paragraphs 7 and 8 of the L 324 must pass this intersection. In Morsbach Hülstert, the local companies have recently expanded their locations and there are also often special transports with extra-wide spaces. The traffic flow at the intersection is to be improved in order to optimize and quickly process turn traffic. This measure is referred to as the 1st phase of the overall measure to expand the L 336.

The aim of this addition to the hub is to ensure that traffic flows smoothly and without conflict, especially when heavy traffic and special transports pass through it.
