Servers

In this lot the server hardware is included. This can be both physical standalone servers for, for example, VMWare, but also includes nodes for, for example, setting up a database cluster or hyperconverged infrastructure nodes.

Storage

This part includes traditional SAN via fiberchannel or iSCSI, NAS solutions, Object Storage and possibly other storage solutions that the provider will have to provide.

Public Cloud

In addition to the on-premise data center, the hospital also wants to use Public Cloud infrastructure. The multi-vendor cloud strategy of the subscriber will be extremely important.

Data network

Within the data centers, a network layer must also be provided. In this, the contracting authority distinguishes 2 layers:

- The core network: all network components that provide the connection to the various edge and/or distribution switches within the client network.

- The data center network: all network components needed for the different servers to communicate with the core network of the hospital.

Security

Within the data network, the hospitals also want to provide network segmentation and security. It should be possible to:

- Block network traffic between different segments and at host level

- Monitor network traffic between different segments and at host level

- Scan network traffic between different segments and at host level for any malicious behavior, exploits or malware.

Backup

In this lot, the necessary hardware and software will be included for providing backups of the on-premise data. The tenderers will have to provide a solution for backing up both:

- VMs within VMWare,

- physical servers

- database servers

- NAS servers/solutions

VMWare

In this lot, the different licenses, within the different product categories of VMWare must be offered. The registrant must also provide services for installing, configuring, upgrading and supporting VMWare software.
