Catering services. Catering services for other enterprises or other institutions. The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a provider of plated style ready meals (either cook/chill or cook/frozen) that can be regenerated by microwave on an individual basis within a 3-5 minute cycle. Storage and regeneration of meals must be compatible with equipment within our current infrastructure or delivered with only minor capital investment.

Meal variety expected will include breakfast, lunch and dinner services plus provision of specialist diets and cultural meals (i.e. Halal, Afro, Asian ect). Potential providers must be able to evidence that they can provide a large variety of dishes from each culture to enable patient choice. Dietary contents of each meal (and type of meal) will be subject to Trust defined minimum nutritional standards as defined within the specification section of ITT documents.

Total number of individual meals projected over both sites will be between 300 000 - 600 000 meals per year (subject to final specification).

Final consideration will be given to price, quality (choice, dietary compliance, taste and appearance), ethical sourcing and carbon & environmental considerations. Full details of evaluation methodology will be contained within ITT documentation.

Potential bidders must note – this requirement is for the supply of foodstuffs in the form of plated meals only - not the deliverance of a meal delivery system or staffing.
