The object of the award is the nationwide establishment of single contact points for employers in accordance with § 185a SGB IX in conjunction with §§ 14 (1) no. 2, 27a (2), 36 sentence 1 of the Ordinance on the Compensation Levy for Severely Disabled Persons (SchwbAV). From 01.01.2022, the integration offices will no longer pay 20 but 18 per cent of their revenue in compensatory levy to the compensation fund. The remaining 2 out of a hundred are available to the respective Integration Office for the financing of the EAA. The Points of Single Contact for Employers inform, advise and support employers in the training, recruitment and employment of severely disabled people.

Their task is to address employers and sensitise them to the training, recruitment and employment of severely disabled people, to be available to employers as an independent guide for questions relating to the training, recruitment, vocational guidance and employment security of severely disabled people, and to support employers in submitting applications to the responsible service providers (§ 185a (2) sentence 2 SGB IX).

The Points of Single Contact for Employers should be easy for employers to reach, have professionally qualified staff who are familiar with the regulations on the participation of severely disabled people as well as advising employers and their needs, and should be well networked in the region (§ 185a para. 4 no. 3 SGB IX).
