The existing fire station of the fire station in Öhringen is to be rebuilt and expanded. New changing rooms, storage rooms, a group room and a new, central hose workshop with a new hose washing system are planned.

The Öhringen base fire brigade operates a central hose workshop that is used by all 16 community fire departments and the 4 company fire departments in the Hohenlohe district. A hygienic separation between contaminated and clean material is made possible by means of a hose workshop.

The hose workshop is funded by the Hohenlohe district and the state of Baden-Württemberg.

In October 2020, the Schimmel office from Öhringen created a concept study, which is the basis for further planning.

The new extension to the south connects directly to the existing building and has a floor area of approx. 250 m 2 . A new hose workshop is planned in the basement, an expansion of the changing rooms on the ground floor, and the roof terrace with a new youth room on the upper floor.

The existing building covers an area of approx. 1,835 m 2 . In total, approx. 670 m 2 new gross floor area arise.

The estimated costs are around EUR 3.2 million.

Planning should begin immediately after the award.

The negotiations are expected to take place on May 12, 2021.

For the planning and execution of the project, an architect for the service phases 2-9 according to HOAI 2021 is sought. The basis is the concept study by the Schimmel architects. The assignment should take place in stages.
