Tuomi Logistiikka Oy competes the basic supplies for wound care and bonding and plastering supplies for the areas of the Tampere University Hospital's Special Responsibility District; Kanta-Häme, Pirkanmaa and South Ostrobothnia.

The length of the contract period is 2 years. The contract may be extended beyond the actual contract period until further notice. The estimated start date of the contract is October-November 2021. The South Ostrobothnia Nursing District will join the agreement on 1 April 2022.

The total estimated value of the acquisition has been calculated for five (5) years (0% VAT), broken down by medical circles as follows: Kanta-Häme 15-25%, South Ostrobothnia 25-35% and Pirkanmaa 40-60%.

Part 3 includes Wound Care and Bondage Supplies Subdivision 16 and Value Added Services Subdivision 17.

Value Added Service:

The provider has the opportunity, as a voluntary option, to provide value-added services related to the wound care and bonding aspect. Offering Subdivision 17 involves submitting an offer to Subdivision 16 (wound care and bondage). The option can only be exercised with the 16 elected editor-in-chief.

The value-added service aims to improve effectiveness. The issues to be pursued include improved patient care, saving time in nursing and managing material costs. The bidder is invited to submit a concept in its bid to pursue greater effectiveness in conjunction with the subscriber if the bidder becomes the chosen editor in the area of wound care and bonding. The plan must be such that the results to be obtained are measurable. The plan may also take into account measures for the specialist wound care product that will be competitive later. The subscriber makes a decision to use the option. Use of the option may be decided at any time during the contract period. More specific content, objectives and other details of the option will be negotiated prior to the possible introduction of the option. The supplementary service offered as an option may be defined by the provider as a trade secret.
